Two iconic lenses available in silver anodized finish

Leica Camera is happy to announce that two of its most popular lenses, the Leica Summilux-M 35
mm/f1.4 ASPH and the Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm/f0.95 ASPH are now available in a silver
anodized finish.
The outer parts of both lenses are made of aluminum and have the same optical design as the black
version. The technical features of the silver anodized version of the Leica Summilux-M 35 mm/f1.4
ASPH and the Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm/f0.95 are identical to that of the black lenses. For the first
time, the weight of the silver anodized lenses is identical to the equivalent black lenses.
These lenses will be available at all Leica Stores, Boutiques and dealers from the end of October,
2014. The lenses come with a three-year passport warranty.

Unlimited Flexibility

The Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH. pairs moderate wide-angle characteristics with natural dimension, which make this focal length very versatile. Whether it is a matter of selective focus in the close-up range, high-contrast available-light applications or landscape shots with immense depth of field, this lens performs wonderfully in any situation.

Technical details

To achieve outstanding imaging performance at closer focusing distances, the lenses behind the aperture blades are constructed as a floating group. This group changes its position relative to the front lens group during focusing. Another new feature is a full-metal, rectangular, screw-mount lens hood that contributes significantly to the compact dimensions of the lens.
